A tiny charity in Albuquerque, NM, wants to raise money with a kids' singing contest. The initials of the school system are APS and the organizer insists that the event be named APS Got Talent Too. He wants to get PSAs on the radio and of course listings in entertainment calendars and such. I think he's infringing on the TV show's trademark and if the event gets the publicity he wants, lawyers are going to come in and get the publicity campaign shut down, which would jeopardize the whole event. I'm not a trademark lawyer, so the organizer won't listen to me. If anybody knows cases like this that I can look up in news archives I'd appreciate it (I don't know how to use legal databases). If you have some credentials and/or experience in the area, please list it. Not because I don't trust you, but so I can point to opinions from people who are more knowledgeable than I am.
